Electronic Waivers
All paddlers must complete the required electronic waiver before arriving in Bamfield.
After your kayak reservation is confirmed, your group will receive electronic waiver instructions. Each required participant must complete the waiver before arrival. The waiver process may include identity confirmation, photo ID capture, and electronic signature.
Complete your waiver before arrival
The electronic waiver link is sent to the group leader once a sea kayak reservation is confirmed. Forward the link to every required paddler in your group. Waivers completed in advance keep launch-day check-in moving and let our team focus on the water.
What each paddler should expect
Identity confirmation
The waiver workflow may ask each paddler to confirm their identity before signing.
Photo ID capture
Photo ID is required as part of the electronic waiver workflow. Each paddler will be asked to upload or capture a photo of government-issued ID.
Electronic signature
Each required paddler signs electronically. Minors typically require a parent or guardian signature.
Group leader checklist
- Share the waiver link with every required paddler in your group.
- Confirm each paddler completes the waiver before leaving for Bamfield.
- Track minors and ensure parent or guardian signatures are in place.
- Bring the same photo ID used during the waiver if requested at check-in.
Waiver status before launch

Waivers are currently sent manually by our operations team. The group leader does not yet receive an automatic status report — please confirm completion with each paddler in your group.
